Q: I've never worked out with a trainer before, is it going to be too intense for me?
A: No! Training is for people of all different levels of experience. Beginners can learn the proper techniques and execution of exercises, advanced people can learn new methods to add into existing regiments. Don't be intimidated by what you see on TV, most of the time that training is over-the- top anyway to drive ratings! The key to fitness is consistency; if you are too sore after a session, you cannot train the next day, keeping you further from your goal.
Q: How long will it take me to see a change?
A: Well that depends. Fitness is 24/7. Its not just how hard you work out during a session, but what happens in between. Nutrition, strength training, and cardio are the 3 factors that will determine how quickly you see results. While it is possible to see
results from following only 1 or 2, adhering to all 3 will produce maximum results in minimal time.
Q: I have a pre-existing medical condition. Can I still work out with you?
A: As long as your doctor allows it. I have experience working with people with various conditions such as: fused discs, broken bones, cancer survivers, diabetes, fibromyalgia, cerebral palsy and more. I do not know everything though. If there is a condition you have that I am unfamiliar with, I will research it by checking with other fitness professionals and doctors in my network to ensure proper precautions.
Q: Where can we workout?
A: Most of my sessions are done right in the convenience of your own home. I have also partnered up with a few gyms and studios in different locations that allow me to use their facility to train my clients (small rent fee applies). If you belong to a gym and would like me to train you there, please check with your health club to see if this is allowed, or if there are any fees involved by bringing in an outside trainer. Other places we can train include:
* Local Parks
* Your office
* Community Centers (with permission)
* Apartment Gym Complexes (with permission)
Q: Do I need any equipment?
A: Nope! I bring everything to you! However, if you have equipment that you prefer to use, we can incorporate them into the program.
Q: Can I try a session for free?
A: Yes! After working as a manager in a major fitness club for many years, I've learned that personal training is about establishing trust and building a professional relationship. I always offer a complementary consultation & training session to give potential clients the opportunity to meet me, learn about my services, and see if we are compatiable.
